COVID VACCINES

The NHS has decades of experience delivering large scale vaccine programmes and we are now ready, with our network, to provide care and support to those who are eligible for the COVID vaccine. Please don't contact the surgery for an appointment, communications will be sent out to patients in order for phase 1
Thank You
BLOOD TEST APPOINTMENTS
We have recently sent out invitations to patients to have a blood test and review for a long term condition annual reviews. We have received a very positive response to this and so we currently have a wait for blood test appointments.
In the current Pandemic situation a blood test appointment incurs a booking of 20 or 30 minutes per patient so that we can ensure appropriate infection control, PPE and control of the number of patients in the waiting room setting. Please take this into consideration if you call for an appointment.
Please also bear in mind that it is not the fault of the receptionist that they cannot offer you an earlier appointment. We are all dealing with a very unusual situation and unfortunately this will be the case for some time.
****We will be prioritising patients who need clinically urgent bloods over routine/non-urgent bloods****

Please click on the link above for help and advice regarding your medical condition. Your query should be non-urgent and we will respond to you within 2 working days.
Dear Patients,
Please help us to keep services running in these difficult times for those who need it most by directing your request to the right place.
- COVID tests – we CANNOT arrange these tests, please visit 111.nhs.uk or ring 119.
- Isolation notes – visit 111.nhs.uk/isolation-note.
- Surgery appointments – all initial contact appointments with the GP will be via telephone, if the doctor then needs to see you then they will arrange this with you. Also please don’t forget that our receptionists must ask you a few questions and this is for the GP’s information before they speak to you.
- Prescriptions – as always prescriptions will be ready in 2 working days after your request. Please DO NOT call the surgery to check that this has been done. Speak to your pharmacist directly and keep our phone lines free for medical problems. If you have not signed up to a pharmacy yet or patient access then we urge you to do so. There are still a lot of patients coming to surgery just to drop a prescription off or pick one up.
- Hospital appointments – If you are awaiting a hospital appointment and have been put on a list we have no control over the waiting times. Please DO NOT call us for the doctor to expedite this. If the GP thinks your problem is urgent then they will refer you as such.
- Blood tests – If your hospital consultant wants you to have blood tests then please advise them that they will have to take them. At the moment due to current COVID manpower issues we are unable to carry out secondary care bloods at the surgery.
Thank you and stay safe
