Extended Access

Patients who are registered with an Oldham GP can now make an appointment to see a GP in the evenings, between 18:30 and 20:00 and Saturdays 09:00 until 17:00.  This service is based at Royton Medical Centre. At your appointment the GP will be able to see some of your medical records so that they are able to advise you accurately.

You can also make morning appointments for blood tests at Royton Health and Wellbeing Centre between 7.30-8am

Training Afternoon Closures 2026

The practice closes one afternoon per month to provide training and development for the practice team.  Please find listed below the closure dates for 2025. The practice will close at 13:00 on these dates and will reopen the following morning at 08:00.

If you require urgent medical assistance that cannot wait until the Surgery re-opens, please telephone 111 or follow the link https://111.nhs.uk/.  Calls to the NHS 111 service are free from both landlines and mobiles.

If you have a life threatening emergency please dial 999.

111 online is a fast and convenient alternative to the 111 phone service and provides an option for people who want to access 111 digitally. 

Your needs will be assessed and you will be given advice about whether you need:

  • Treat yourself at home
  • Go to a Primary Care Centre

If you need face to face medical attention you may be asked to attend a Primary Care Centre.
